Tijuana has distinguished itself as a municipality that addresses the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through its public policies and its Municipal Development Plan 2024–2027. Through the actions of the 25th Municipal Government, the city has demonstrated progress in addressing human rights challenges in the busiest border region in the world.
Tijuana is also the most populated municipality in the country. The city is characterized by welcoming a large number of migrants from different states of Mexico, as well as people from other nationalities. As a border city, we open our doors to provide support and follow-up to the needs of individuals who see our territory as an opportunity to improve their living conditions.
For this reason, we seek to promote accessibility, guarantee the right to the city, advance actions that strengthen equality and combat poverty. Our government has been recognized for its commitment to accountability and for addressing key social priorities, such as public health, through our “Healthy Tijuana” (Tijuana Saludable) programme.
This administration has demonstrated through concrete actions the impact of its policies, which have received national recognition.
