VISION AS HUMAN RIGHTS CITY / TERRITORY

To build a municipality where human rights are at the heart of all government actions, ensuring the respect, protection, and promotion of the human rights of all people, with particular emphasis on the most vulnerable groups. To consolidate Coeneo as an inclusive, safe, fair, and supportive territory where women, men, girls, boys, adolescents, older persons, Indigenous peoples, and groups in vulnerable situations fully exercise their rights and actively participate in building a society with shared well-being and prosperity.

As a Human Rights City, Coeneo will guide its public policies according to the principles of equality, non-discrimination, citizen participation, transparency, accountability, and effective access to justice, strengthening the relationship between government and citizens to ensure that no one is left behind and no one is excluded. We will promote respect for the cultural diversity of our Indigenous communities, gender equality, a culture of peace, environmental sustainability, and the comprehensive development of individuals, fostering a municipality where human rights are a daily reality and a tool for achieving collective well-being.

MOTIVATIONS TO JOIN THE CAMPAIGN

This campaign represents an opportunity to strengthen the institutional commitment to the well-being, inclusion, and dignity of all people. It provides a valuable tool for promoting people-centered public policies that foster equal opportunities, citizen participation, and the sustainable development of our communities.

The campaign will help us improve the visibility of and support for vulnerable groups, promote equality between women and men, strengthen the inclusion of our Indigenous communities, foster a culture of peace, and prevent all forms of discrimination and gender-based violence. It will also enable the municipality to benefit from training opportunities, institutional support, and the exchange of good practices that will strengthen municipal public management.

By joining this campaign, we reaffirm that the municipal government works according to the principles of social justice, close engagement with citizens, and unwavering respect for human dignity, placing people at the center of public decision-making.
