IInd FALP Assembly - Peripheral Cities, Territories of the future

On 24 and 25 September 2015, the city of Moron, on the periphery of Buenos Aires (Argentina), hosted the II the Forum of the Peripheral Local Authorities International Assembly

The peripheral cities are protagonists of the urban growth which has been experienced by the world for the last decades. They are intrinsically connected to the new challenges that involve building more cohesive, democratic and sustainable metropolitan areas.

Therefore, to share experiences, discuss and reflect on the main issues of the metropolis, the network of the Forum of the Peripheral Local Authorities organized the IInd FALP International Assembly on the theme "peripheral cities, territories of the future." This meeting was organized by the city of Morón (Buenos Aires, Argentina) within the framework of the Week "Moron to the World" (September 21-25, 2015).

That Assembly helps to promote new forms of democracy, where respect for human rights for all, especially for the most vulnerable social sectors, is a priority, and where political, social and cultural participation of young people have an increasing role.
