The 2nd Assembly of the International Participatory Budgeting Platform will take place on 10 February from 9 am to 5 pm. This Platform brings together various networks of cities that have implemented this type of process. After a first meeting in Belo Horizonte (2008) and Belém do Pará (2009), the Dakar Assembly will debate the situation of participatory budgeting in Africa and their main challenges.
The International PB Platform has a website containing very varied information on this subject. The UCLG Committee on Social Inclusion, Participatory Democracy and Human Rights will take part in this initiative and will be participating at the meeting.
