Our Committee brings together local governments who are committed to advance human rights and the right to the city in worldwide cities and territories. In the framework of UCLG, it aspires to articulate the network's voice in terms of social inclusion, participatory democracy and human rights.

Throughout the last ten years, our Committee has promoted debates and joint initiatives among local authorities on policies related to social inclusion, participatory democracy and human rights, resulting into a meaningful legacy linked to the idea that "another world is possible starting in the city". Activities developed in this regard are varied and well adapted to member-local governments' priorities.
