“Local Government and Human Rights”

 

- Role of local government in the promotion and protection of human rights-

  ◈ The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea ...

 

   has honour to invite you to the side event, which would be an optimal place for comprehensive and in-depth discussion on the local government and human rights based on the Advisory Committee’s final report(A/HRC/30/49).

 

  ◈ This event aims to:

 

  1) present and discuss the Advisory Committee’s report.

  2) raise awareness of Human Rights Council and other stake-holders, including States and civil society, about the importance attached to the role of local government in the promotion and protection of human rights

  3) explore the ways forward on how to implement the recommendations of the report, including drawing up guiding principles on the subject.
