We are pleased to announce the 2nd 2014 Biannual Meeting of the Committee on Social Inclusion, Participatory Democracy and Human Rights of United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG), to be held in Sao Paulo (Brazil) from 12 to 14 November 2014 in the framework of the International Meeting for the Right to the City.
The objective of the International Meeting for the Right to the City is to update and expand the international debate on the contents and strategies of the right to the city in an aim to give new impulse to the process on both domestic and international level, and sroll towards the recognition and realization of such right at different scales.
In particular, it seeks to incorporate a platform related to this right to the new International Urban Agenda that will be prepared during the Conference on Human Settelements - Habitat III (2016) by structuring an international observatory on the right to the city.
